In 2021, a number of cities in Latvia saw the first 5G network deployment. What are the latest developments in 5G mobility, what practical steps can cities take to accelerate mobility tests in 5G? What do network providers expect from the public sector? The panel discussion will focus on market offers, necessary improvements in regulation, and public service digitalization. The panel will disentangle the current blockers for infrastructure development, give direction for the best governance practices from international experts as well as set the agenda for the next steps in 5G deployment in Latvia.

In line with the overarching topic of the 2021 5G Techritory, “the real value of 5G”, one of the main challenges currently being faced by the ecosystem is that there remains uncertainty on the market’s development and 5G use cases. This session will focus on strategic approaches to 5G ecosystem development as the main solution to this challenge.
The Session will offer leadership, guidance and insight into the actions needed for the development of 5G ecosystems which are conducive to new use cases and therefore positively impact all sectors of the economy.

Mission Sea 2030: an introduction to the Digital Twin of the Baltic Sea

Mission Sea 2030 is an ambitious initiative that seeks to, among other things, introduce a control mechanism to save the Baltic Sea via a digital twin. The event will cover the overall objectives of the Mission Sea project and dive deeper into the vision and high-level architecture of the digital twin concept, as well as related elements.
