Chairman of the Board 5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation (5G-ACIA)

Dr. Andreas Mueller is Chairman of the Board of the “5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation” (5G-ACIA). 5G-ACIA has been established as a global alliance for paving the way for the use of 5G technology in smart manufacturing and for unlocking the great potential that comes along with it. To this end, 5G-ACIA brings together leading players from the ICT and OT industries and addresses relevant technical, regulatory and business-related aspects. 

He’s also the Head of Communication and Network Technology of Bosch Corporate Research in Stuttgart, Germany. As part of his responsibilities in Bosch, Andreas is coordinating the industrial 5G activities within the Bosch Group across different business units, as well as the research activities of Bosch related to future connectivity infrastructures.

Andreas holds a German Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering and a M.Sc. degree in Information Technology, both from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. He’s also received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the same university (with distinction).

Interesting fact

In 2010, he joined Rohde & Schwarz as a Systems Engineer, developing a novel software-defined radio-based communication system for the German Armed Forces.
