Since 1992, Dr. Oec. Juris Binde has been the President of Latvian Mobile Telephone, Ltd. and, since 2004 – Chairman of the Management Board. He’s also a Professor at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences and the Vice President of the Latvian Information and Communications Technology Association (LIKTA).
In 1978, Mr. Binde graduated from the Faculty of Radio Equipment and Communications of Riga Polytechnic Institute as an engineer designer-technologist of radio and electronic equipment (Dipl.ing, Mg.sc.ing). He has also studied in Germany, Sweden, and the USA.
Before becoming the President of LMT, Dr. Oec. Juris Binde was a Chief Technologist and the Head of the Technological Department at the Scientific Research Institute VEF. Earlier in his career, he also served as the Deputy Head of the Scientific and Technical Information Department and the Head of the System Analyses Group.
