Ioannis is the CEO of inCITES Consulting and the Sectoral Project Manager in Western Balkans for Digital Infrastructure Development (WBIF). He has more than 20 years of experience in research and professional services, having worked with operators, regulators, and enterprises across Europe. His primary areas of specialization include consulting on investment and strategic decision-making in ICT. Ioannis has considerable experience in business planning and market assessment in next-generation access networks and both fixed and mobile networks.
Ioannis holds a BSc in Physics, an MSc in Radioelectrology and Electronics, and a Ph.D. in nonlinear optical networks, all from the University of Athens. Ioannis has more than 40 publications with two best paper awards and more than 250 citations.
He also serves as a reviewer in leading IEEE/OSA journals and conferences and is a biographee in several lists (Marquis and Hübners Blaues Who’s Who).
