Martin Taylor works in the Office of the CTO, Azure for Operators at Microsoft. He was Chief Technical Officer at Metaswitch from 2011 until its acquisition by Microsoft in 2020.
A tireless and outspoken advocate for applying cloud-native principles to network functions, Light Reading named him one of the Top 5 Movers and Shakers in NFV in 2014.
Martin is the author of numerous white papers on cloud-native and has been a frequent speaker at industry conferences. He’s a veteran of the networking industry, with previous roles as Chief Technical Officer at CopperCom, a pioneer in Voice over DSL, and Head of Architecture at Madge Networks, and the leading independent vendor in Token Ring networking.
He graduated in Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
