Tim holds 25+ years of experience as a system security architect of public safety systems, applications, and vertical platforms for local, state, federal, enterprise, and international public safety users.

Additionally, he is experienced with TETRA, Project 25, and 3GPP broadband mission-critical architectures and applications. Tim specializes in the architecture design and system specification of Conventional, Trunked, and broadband voice, video, and data systems.

Currently, Tim is the Chair of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR8.3 Encryption Subcommittee and Vice-Chair of the APIC Encryption Task Group.

He is also a member and technical contributor to the 3GPP SA3 (Security), 3GPP SA1 (Services), 3GPP SA6 (Systems and Architecture), 3GPP CT1 (Messaging and protocols), and 3GPP CT/SA Plenary standardization working groups specializing in mission-critical architecture, voice, video, data, security, identity management, media encryption, key management architectures, and Land Mobile Radio/LTE interworking and interoperability.
