Tonko Obuljen graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Zagreb in 1993 and has been in electronic communications ever since.
He is the President of the Council of Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM). Additionally, Tonki is the Incoming Chair of the Body of the European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC).
His technical background is related to terrestrial and satellite communication networks, particularly broadcasting. He has been previously appointed as the director of HAKOM and a member of the Council of HAKOM.
